Vanessa Rezende (RYT-500) is a certified LA-based yoga instructor who discovered her passion for teaching mindfulness after going through a career transition. Shortly after graduating from law school, she was formally introduced to mindfulness while attending a Zen Buddhist center in Brazil. Wishing to better cope with stress and anxiety, she began studying and practicing zazen, a Japanese meditative discipline that originated from the Buddhist tradition. After moving to Southern California and devoting herself to studying the yoga discipline and philosophy, she became inspired to serve her community in a new role. She received both her 200-hour and 300-hour Teacher Training certifications from Yoga Salt, studying under the mentorship of Tamal Dodge. Continuing education hours include Yoga Nidra, Breathwork, Meditation, and Neuroscience Teacher Trainings. Her classes incorporate Sound Healing using crystal singing bowls and other unique instruments to provide students with a well-rounded and profoundly relaxing experience. Her purpose is to empower students by sharing mindfulness practices to enhance physical, mental, and spiritual health, allowing practitioners to thrive on and off the mat.
